4.0"Other than the final price, it was a very good experience. Sarah Yverton was extremely helpful during the process which began weeks before via email since I was out of the US. Her and Keith also waited for me an addtional three hours since they were supposed to close early due to first day of the year (Jan 2) but waited for me and made the experience pleasant and enjoyable. No pressure. I would definitively recommend Mini of the Woodlands. They also alllowed me to take the car back to get it detailed since the crew had already left. Every time I walk in the door, I feel welcome. It is a truly unique experience to walk into a car dealership and have everyone know you by name and go out of his or her way to say ?Hi.? The service department is impeccable and it is great to have a loaner car available for use when my MINI?s are in for oil changes which are every 15,000 miles. Keith and Sara always greet Melanie and me when we come in to make sure we are doing well and that we are satisfied with our cars. We feel like they are old friends of ours. 1.5"1. I brought my car in today after e-mailing Keith last week because of a rather significant rattling sound coming from the rear bench seat. We know it is coming from there as Joe rode in the back while I was driving so we could figure out where it was coming from. Keith made me an appointment with Curtis for this morning. He took me promptly and I explained to him the issue. He seemed surprised like service has not heard of this issue before. I waited, as you know, and I was given my car back and told what they had found and what they had done. The rattle was gone when I left, however, by the time I got back to downtown Houston (driving in a rather smooth freeway) it was back loud and clear. I do not know if this is a design flaw or manufacturing flaw, and I know it is minor, but this rattle is bothersome. It is NOT fixed. 2. I discovered a problem with the paint on the driver?s door when I washed it last week. I mentioned this to Curtis and he had it looked at this AM. He told me that it was under the clear coat so the door would have to be sanded down and re-painted. I told him that was fine I would schedule an appointment in the future when it worked for Joe and I. My bigger concern is if the flaw in the paint is that significant or deep (not sure of the correct word) why wasn?t it caught before I bought it and drove away with it?" 2.0"after having my vehicle for 5 working days the mechanics claimed they could not duplicated a problem I described. when I went to pick my car up, I brought the service advisor out to the car, started the car, and he heard the noise I had previously described immediately even amidst road noise from the freeway. I explained this problem to him when I dropped the car off, that it could only be heard from a cold-start, yet over a week the mechanics could not do this, yet the service advisor hears it when I cold-start the car in front of him on the day I'm there picking the car up?" 3.0"Very unhappy with the service explanation.Was told that I needed 4 new tires & alignment for $1700. Later found out that only one tire was close to the wear mark. This car only has 18K miles on the tires and has been serviced regularly. I have kept the air pressure at the recommended levels. This car sounds like a Jeep or truck with oversized off road tires! This should be covered under warranty & sdervice in my opinion. I feel like the service folks were dishonest and only out to make a $. I don't uinderstand why dealerships push their customers away by hiring inexperienced people and providing poor service. I own 2 BMW's and the Mini. 2.5"Had to wait 3 1/2 hours. When I went up to ask when my MINI would be ready, the service tech quickly got off the phone, and said he would pull up my info. Then he noticed that my car keys were on his desk already. Don't know how long they had been there... Also, when I arrived back home and looked over my paperwork, I realized that the inspection form that was supposed to have been done, was not given back to me. 2.0"I waited in the lobby for over 3 hours for an simple oil change with no acknowledgement or updates while I waited. I think I was forgotten about. I felt insignificant and unappreciated, after driving an hour and half just to get service from the dealership as part of the extended service warranty. I felt like I would have gotten better, quicker and friendlier service at my local Goodyear in College Station. Then, once my car was ready I found that there were till information lights on that had not been addressed. I went back in, just to be told it wasn't a big deal and i could get it taken care of somewhere else. And THIS was in addition to extreme frustration I still have from an ENGINE replacement on a car less than 4 years old and just over 50K. 3.0"After scheduling my appointment online I recived a phone message saying that no service times were available that week. When I phoned back explaining that I only had the car available for service that week the service representive said that there was service times available and that they would schedule me for my original service time. When I dropped the car off for service I was told that it would take 1 to 1 1/2 hours for the service (oil change and saftey inspection) it actually took 3 hours. The magazines in the waiting area were over a year old and the newspaper was from the previous day. 2.0"This experience was a disaster. My tire pressure monitor light came on indicating a sensor failure while I was out of town on military duty(I had just mounted four new tires and they were properly inflated). Upon my return I made an appointment for what I was told was warranty service. I arrived on time, and was told I had no appointment, there were no loaners, but I could wait. After two hours I did receive a loaner so that I could take care of some legal work in Conroe, then returned. The service advisor said he would call me before I returned but did not. When I did get back to the dealership I was told that there was still no solution and that I would have to come back later that evening or the next day. Late in the afternoon I received a call at my office that the problem was found, failing batteries in the transmitter sensors in the tires and that the cost would be around $800.00/non-warranty. Under the circumstances I refused the work. I made my third trip back the next day, paid for the $140 oil change that I had authorized to be done along with the "warranty" work, and retrieved my car. With travel time and and sitting time I lost over $1000 in billable hours and my tire pressure monitor light is still on. This is not the first time I've had my time wasted at this dealership but it is the last. My plans to move from my Clubman to a Countryman are undone. 1.0"Tried for over 2 weeks to schedule an appointment both through the 3rd party who sends reminders/books appointments as well as directly through the dealership. 3rd party was frustrated as they send priority requests 2 or 3 times. I spoke with receptionist twice and left messages as the service voice mail box was full each time. At one point, the receptionist told me she would personally walk the message out to a service advisor who was at the BMW service dept so I would get a call back. Guess what...still no call. Tried again 3 days later and reached a young lady answering phones for the service dept who said she scheduled me an appointment for the next day. When I called back the next morning to see if the time could be moved back an hour due to a conflict, the person answering the phone did not find any appointment scheduled for us. How on earth can you run a service dept this way? Love my MINI, loved the entire sales process but recent service has been just a miserable process. To top it off, once I did actually receive an appt and took it in, the service advisor told me my service warranty expired 600 miles prior and that I would be expected to pay $140 for an oil change! He later called me back to say that mgmt had decided to honor that service under my warranty since I most likely would have been there prior to it expiring if only I could have reached someone in their service area. 2.0"Level of professionalism in service department poor. Service org attempted to charge me for window motor that failed prior to warranty expiration (second window motor failure in 3 months). Service org attempted to charge me for axle seal leak that was under warranty and has been repaired at least twice before --- service agent failed to look up this history.
