I was promptly greeted at the door, she thoroughly went over the service to be performed, etc. The only negative was a misunderstanding between her and I with regards to my rear tire. It keeps losing pressure, so I was under the impression that it would be examined to see if leak could be repaired or if tire needed to be replaced. Instead, the service department just checked the tire pressure and filled it up. 1.0"I have had my Mini in for carbon cleaning time after time resulting in an oil leak that Mini refuses to fix. I was told by a manager that the carbon build up was due to me buying gas at the wrong stations. I buy reputable gas (93 octane) at reputable stations (not old stations as the manager thought I was). I have my Mini held at the facility sometimes as long as two weeks diagnosing and/or fixing the problems. If I didn't have a secong vehicle, this could be a real problem. Let me say that the service writers are friendly and helpful and I enjoy driving my Mini but service management ruined all that for me. I paid for a pre-maintanence package and an extended warranty for up to 100,000 miles and yet the Mini has cost me a small fortune in service bills. I purchased my mini with the Harmon Kardon sound system because I enjoy all types of music and would think that Mini has engineered this vehicle to except this system with its better sound output. Just before I picked up my Mini, my advisor and I on this last visit listened and confirmed this concern. I was told by my advisor that the reason I was having my concern of the door panels rattling, was due to the type of sound system and that the door panels are all plastic. My concern is with the door panels seeming to be loose. While listening to my music I am experiencing a rattle type noise from the door panels. 2.5"It was off to a good start considering I did not have an appointment, and I was able to get it looked at. I left it and was given a loaner. Figured it would be done the next day, but it was late in the afternoon and you all were unable to get the work completed in that day, so we had the loaner over the weekend. Not really happy about it but what can I do? I picked up the Mini on Monday afternnon which again was an okay experience except...when checking in the loaner they saw a dent which they claim looked like a ball had hit it? I stated that I never had the mini around any balls, but they said that is why we do the walk around and collect insurance from customers. I get a call today saying that I owe $250.00 dollars brought down from over $1000.00? We just paid over 400.00 at our service appointment. How do any of know for certian that was not there prior to me taking it off the lot? A few things were pointed out to me but neither of us looked at the hood, and they sun was bright that day. 4.5"I appreciate the friendliness of the staff, particularly Lance who was very professional and explained the work being done on my car. I appreciated the nice touch of fresh fruit and water being available in the wait room as I was there a while, and when it was discovered that my car would take several hours, a loaner was given to me so I wouldn't have to wait at the dealership all afternoon. It was really nice to have that option. Additionally, my car was cleaned and vacuummed - another nice touch. The girls at the desk have told me I don't need to come in for service until a light goes on - that is the first thing they ask when you walk in the door - no light coming on just cost me $1,400.00 in new tires... and my oil was way past due to be changed. Your desk girls are not even a one star. They are awful. The service rep was new - so we'll see how it goes from here... This is the only dealer near me or I would be going somewhere else." 4.0"Overall, the service went very well. However, there were two things that could have been better. 1. First off, the service manager informed me that the treads on the ContiPro tires that I purchased with the Mini Cooper were run down and needed to be replaced. He failed to tell me that I had clocked only 28,000 + miles on the vehicle and that the tires had a warranty for 60,000 miles thus making me eligible for a rebate on the purchase of new tires. I think this is a MAJOR oversight that needs to be brought to the attention of the manager in question. 2. I've been having recurring problems with the black "plastic holster or cover" that protects the rear left wheel shock absorber. I've already had one replaced that fell off. I called ahead so that they could order one. The service manager basically told me not to worry that they'd handle it when I brought in the vehicle. As expected, the part was not in stock. The service manager told me that he would order the part and call me when it came in. I am currently waiting. Let's see . . . Otherwise, everything went well. Please give my best to Paula.
